May 21, 2005 – BERTRAND PICCARD visits Minnesota to receive Lindburgh Historical Foundation Award and relaxes with the MBA at Don Piccard’s home for an afternoon BBQ. Sam Blackburn, MBA president, presents Bestrand with MBA shirt and pins. Bertrand took the time to autograph copies of his book “Around The World In 20 Days”. Bertrand gave the MBA an authentic Swiss Army knife autographed by Brian Jones and Bertrand on one side, with an insignia of the Breitling Orbitor III on the front side. We all enjoyed an afternoon of visiting in a very relaxed atmosphere. Bertrand, thank you for being so patient with us, our autograph requests and our questions. The MBA was honored that you and your family took the time to spend an afternoon with us. Thank you Don for inviting us to your home!
